SunCast Podcast Puts Spotlight on How CAPS Prepares Students for Clean Energy Careers and Climate Impact
CAPS was one of three nonprofits featured on a recent SunCast podcast episode focused on the growing clean energy sector. Host Nico Johnson welcomed our executive director Kirk Anne Taylor and board member Laurie Smith for a short discussion on how CAPS supports climate education and workforce development in California school districts.
Kirk Anne shared how student interns gain more than skills and knowledge as they work on projects to help school districts minimize greenhouse gas emissions, such as building decarbonization and electric school bus fleet transition. βIn the course of one school year, students can see the impact of the actions they take and the power they have to address climate change in their local community,β she said.
