OUR IMPACT
Climate Action Pathways for Schools (CAPS) empowers students by providing a paid, hands-on educational opportunity to reduce their school districts’ greenhouse gas emissions, gain the experience and knowledge to prepare them for green careers, and take tangible action to fight climate change. Through our programs, students lead climate action in their community and gain transferable technical skills that prepare them for their future careers and strengthen their interpersonal and leadership skills.
CAPS works to:
Our paid student internships enable youth to take the lead on data-driven initiatives that directly benefit their schools and local communities.
CAPS programs aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in participating school districts by 80% within ten years.
The energy management programs and technical expertise provided by CAPS result in significant cost savings to school districts by reducing operating expenses.
CAPS seeks to maximize its impacts by partnering with under-resourced schools and communities that are disproportionately affected by climate change.
Our education programs provide project-based learning activities that address real-world climate change problems.
Students gain hands-on experiences in problem-solving, data processing, and analytics that are transferable to career paths in the green economy.
