Juli Miller

Program Manager

Juli joined CAPS in September 2024 as the Program Manager for Northern Californian school districts. In this role, she focuses on connecting a growing number of student interns with community partners to build more sustainable school districts. With a diverse background spanning education and clean energy, Juli is passionate about finding the intersection between these two fields. Prior to joining CAPS, she spent a year designing and managing student programming at a clean energy agency in the Bay Area, where she supported over 50 students with climate action projects.

Juli's journey in education began after her undergraduate studies when she worked as a special education teacher across elementary schools in the Bay Area for three years. During this time, she actively sought ways to incorporate sustainability concepts into her therapy sessions, laying the groundwork for her current focus on environmental education.

Holding a B.A. in Environmental Studies and an M.Ed. in Special Education, Juli brings a unique perspective to her work at CAPS. Her mission is to promote equity in sustainability by removing barriers to entry and connecting students with partner communities. This commitment stems from her diverse experiences in both special education and environmental studies, driving her to make sustainability accessible to all students, regardless of their background or abilities.
